Baritone Horns

Baritone Horns, often just called baritones, are a low-pitched (tenor) brass instrument in the saxhorn family. It is a piston-valve brass instrument with a bore that is mostly conical, like the flugel horn and tenor horn. However, it is narrower than the conical bore of the euphonium. Confusingly, the baritone is called tenor horn in Germany and the tenor horn is their alto horn. Like the trombone and the euphonium, it can be considered either a transposing or non-transposing instrument depending on whether the music is written in treble or bass clef.
