Tenor Trombones
Tenor Trombones of a small bore that varies in size between .481″ to .525″ have long been the choice of the Jazz and Commercial lead player. Instruments of this size tend to give a bright flexible sound with great flexibility but also offers a fantastic tonal blend in the Big Band.
Orchestral players generally prefer large bore trombones, often with an F attachment. These instruments can produce a large volume of sound without it breaking up.
