The B & M clarinet reed case safely holds up to 10 reeds. Some players number their reeds in order of preference. So you can use the not so good ones for practice purposes & reserve the best ones for special occasions such as performances or exams. As you may know reeds will vary in the way they play. This is because the cane they are made from is a natural material & the density & structure of the cane is going to affect the response & articulation of each one. So store them in order of preference. Don’t discard the not so good ones but use them for practice purposes or if you are a teacher give them to your pupils although they should probably be sterilised first.
