Our Berg Larsen tenor sax mouthpiece stainless steel 110/2 comes complete with a Berg Larsen ligature & cap. Berg Larsen mouthpieces are becoming rarer and harder to find.

Berg originally made his name as a professional musician and whilst not working, he could be found making reeds in Archer Street London.
In 1945, he designed and manufactured a range of ebonite mouthpieces for clarinet and saxophone which later evolved into a range made out of stainless steel for an increased lifespan.
Although Berg died in 1972, his name lives on and today, we can offer a wide variety of mouthpieces in various different materials and styles.

Stainless steel mouthpieces were developed for increased life and their different tonal quality. Because these mouthpieces have a highly reflective finish, they produce a bright, more edgy sound. The insert is made of high grade black ebonite..
There are four types of tone chamber:
0 = Brilliant, 1 = Bright, 2 = Round, 3 = Mellow.
