The Earlham Clarinet in Eb is extremely comfortable for small hands, and therefore is an ideal instrument for younger players. Some teachers recommend the Eb clarinet for younger players because, as it is smaller than the normal Bb clarinet it does suit smaller hands, however because it is pitched higher it requires a firmer embouchure.
