Vintage Handmade Metal Flute

This Vintage Handmade Metal Flute is a bit of a mystery as there is no makers mark or serial number to help date it. As can be seen from the photographs, there is a sticker on the inside of the case which says HRH’s. This sticker was on the case when the instrument was purchased from an auction house near Tetbury. Could this imply some kind of Royal connection? The flute seems to have been relatively recently repadded with good quality leather pads but most of the touch corks need replacing to get it into perfect playing order. Comes supplied in original case in good condition apart from the catch not holding the lid closed.
