It’s possible that with a lot of work this vintage Rampone and Cazzani tuba could be put in playing order again.
In reality its just an amazing looking display item that will give great pleasure to the owner.
Bear in mind it will need dusting around once a month!
The company was founded in the early nineteenth century by Egidio Forni and Francesco Rampone, both originally from Quarna Sotto, who moved to Milan, where they learned to use lathes and to manufacture wind instruments (mainly woods), at an artisan workshop.
