Light-weight and relatively inexpensive, this mute feels even across the full range of the instrument and has excellent intonation – an achievement not to be underestimated when designing a French Horn mute!
Designed by Trevor Bremner, Australian and New Zealand Cornet Champion, the sshhmute has taken the world of professional brass players by storm. It is the ideal mute for late night practice or a quick backstage warm-up and is used by musicians such as Canadian Brass, David Krauss (Principal Trumpet – Metropolitan Opera Orchestra), Joseph Alessi (Principal Trombone – New York Philharmonic Orchestra), Carol Jarvis (International trombone soloist), Reinhold Friedrich (international trumpet soloist) and many more.
