Description
Yamaha YFH-631G Maestro Flugel Horn
The Yamaha YFH-631G Maestro Flugel Horn has been the default Brass Band Flugel for many years. Yes, others have been tried and others are used, but the Maestro is the favourite for most Brass Bands. Use a Denis Wick mouthpiece for best results. As well as being a staple of the brass band world, the 631G is equally at home in many settings including jazz and big bands, brass ensembles, and it is often found in the orchestra pit in musical theatre.
With it’s medium bore and gold brass bell the 631G offers the qualities we have all come to expect from Yamaha flugelhorns. It is easy to play in a traditional style with a broad and rich tonal range. There is a trigger on the third valve slide for fine intonation adjustments.
