Vintage Percy “Le Triomphe” Trumpet

This Vintage Percy “Le Triomphe” Trumpet is an interesting and unusual design. It plays ok and has quite a bright tone. It is a high pitched instrument but there is enough wriggle room the two tuning slides to bring it down to concert pitch.

About Joseph Percy:

Joseph Persy opened his own factory Persy instruments at 39 Boulevard Baudouin in Bruxelles, where he also sold string instruments. In 1907, he won the grand prize at the exposition for Arts and Crafts in Brussels. He was the leading provider of instruments to the army and the conservatory. He used the trade name Le Triomphe. His name and logo stayed on the instruments of his successors, Louis Billen, Max Moyens, Robert Putzeys and Pierre van Adorp, Pierre and Auguste van Adorp and Henri Belang (1937-1985)
