French Horn mouthpieces

We have a variety of french horn mouthpieces, available new or second hand from manufacturers including Dennis Wick, Bach, Arnolds and Paxman. Paxman also supply different mouthpiece cups and rims that are available to be purchased separately. Mouthpieces come in different sizes and dimensions to better suit the player. A choice in mouthpieces for a player is entirely subjective, and what would work for one player may be entirely different for another. In a Symphony Orchestra first and third horn players generally play high parts & second and fourth players generally play low parts. So if you mostly play high parts then it is normal to select a mouthpiece that suits high notes…smaller & with a shallower cup. If you mostly play low parts then it is normal to select a mouthpiece that suits low notes…wider & with a deeper cup.
