Mouthpieces come in different sizes and dimensions to better suit the player. A choice in mouthpieces for a player is entirely subjective, and what would work for one player may be entirely different for another. The most popular make of mouthpiece for the euphonium player is Denis Wick. Their range includes the Classic, the SM or Stephen Mead, the Heritage and the Ultra. The Heritage is dual plated, that being silver plated with a gold plated rim, and the Classic, Stephen Mead and Ultra are available in silver plate or gold plate.
