We offer a small range of Tenor horn mutes, mainly made by Denis Wick, and a plastic practice mute made by Bremner which they call the SSSHHhhh mute. Denis Wick make a wooden straight mute which has recently been reduced in price making it good value compared to the more comonnly used metal ones. In the brass band there might be an issue this wooden mute as ideally the whole section should use the same mutes. It might even be considered that the whole band would need to use a matching style of mute. Regarding the Denis Wick metal tenor horn mutes, care needs to be taken when choosing one as the bell size of your instument will effect which ones are suitable. If in doubt bring your tenor horn into the shop to try them for size or contact us for advice.
