Alto Trombones

Alto Trombones are pitched in Eb (occasionally with a D or Bb rotary valve attachment), a perfect fourth higher than the tenor trombone and were commonly used from the 16th to the 18th centuries as the highest voice in the brass choir. These days many players choose to use alto trombone for much of the Classical repertoire when playing first (or alto!) trombone parts.

At Trevor Jones we stock Alto Trombones for all budgets and levels, from the Elkhart – a good choice for students – through to Professional Conn 36H, with many other models available to order.
