The Cornopean was a forerunner of the modern cornet. Equipped with three piston valves and sometimes a clapper or shake key and pitched from C down to F in various combinations by means of a selection of crooks and shanks. Most of them have Stolzel valves as opposed to the commonly used Perinet valve of today. We have stored a number of vintage cornopeans that are not yet listed.
